Floodlight innovation for USC Mank: state-of-the-art LED technology for competition and training pitches

Mank, Lower Austria – The USC Mank is investing in the future of its club and is relying on a high-performance LED floodlight system from SmartArena. With the new construction of the lighting infrastructure for both the competition and training pitches, a pioneering project has been realized that raises sports operations to a new level. Particular emphasis was placed on high-quality lighting technology, energy efficiency and professional project management.

Together with the teams from store and more GmbH and P&F Elektrotechnik Zeiss GmbH, the implementation was carried out smoothly, purposefully and efficiently. The new SmartArena floodlight system not only provides the best visibility for players, but also impresses with its sophisticated technology and sustainable planning.

The USC Mank competition pitch was equipped with a light intensity of 200 lux and a color temperature of 3000 Kelvin. The COB LED technology from SmartArena guarantees homogeneous illumination, glare-free light and minimal light immissions – which is ideal for both match operations and the local residents. The light point height is 18 meters. With a connected load of 18.2 kilowatts, attention was also paid to high energy efficiency.

The training pitch was also raised to the same technical level. The lighting here is also 200 lux at 3000 Kelvin – an illumination that reflects the club’s professional standards and creates optimum conditions for daily training. The light point height for both pitches is 18 meters. The connected load of 16.9 kilowatts ensures an ideal balance between performance and economy.

The local added value of the project is particularly noteworthy: SmartArena’s LED luminaires were manufactured in the company’s own production facility in Teufenbach, Austria – with the highest precision and quality “Made in Austria”. This not only guarantees a reliable, long-lasting lighting solution, but also strengthens regional industry and craftsmanship. The cooperation with store and more and Zeiss, the electrical experts based in Mank, also underlines the club’s regional ties.

The project at the USC Mank is a perfect example of how modern lighting technology, local expertise and professional project management can go hand in hand. The new floodlight system is emblematic of a future-oriented sports infrastructure that not only enables top sporting performance, but also meets ecological and economic requirements.
