Bruck an der Leitha, Lower Austria – The municipality of Bruck an der Leitha is nestled in a beautiful landscape characterized by the Leitha Mountains, surrounding vineyards and the proximity to Lake Neusiedl and Vienna. The park stadium of the USC Bruck an der Leitha is located in the middle of these charming surroundings. The sports club opted for an LED floodlight system from SmartArena for the modernization of the sports facility.
Once again, a customized lighting solution was required to meet the special conditions of the park stadium. Due to the close proximity to Vienna International Airport, aircraft regularly fly over the sports field at low altitudes during take-off or landing. For this reason, a mandatory requirement of the project was to design the floodlighting system in such a way that the visibility of pilots flying over the sports field would not be impaired, while still providing perfect light on the field.
The task was clear and a solution was quickly found: The powerful COB LED floodlight system from SmartArena guarantees maximum uniformity of light distribution, flicker-free operation and low stray light. Thanks to the innovative DLC (Direct Light Control) shading system from SmartArena, glare and light immissions were also reduced to a minimum.
The new lighting solution was installed together with the team from store and more GmbH. The competition pitch was equipped with a light intensity of 200 lux and the training pitch with 100 lux. An additional highlight of the new lighting system is the Switch Dim control. This allows the club to flexibly adjust the light intensity as required. Whether for training or matches or to adapt to different weather and lighting conditions – the LED floodlights can be regulated quickly and easily with the Switch Dim control. The combination of intelligent light control and uniform light distribution ensures ideal playing and training conditions on the pitch.
Another advantage for the club is the sustainability of the system – thanks to the energy-efficient LED lights and the low maintenance requirements, a solution has been chosen that is both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. In addition, the new LED floodlight system complies with various funding guidelines, which also made it possible to apply for appropriate funding for the realization of the project. The result is a system that is not only convincing in terms of quality, but also economically.
