Maria Lanzendorf, Lower Austria – The SC Maria Lanzendorf opted for the innovative solution from SmartArena to modernize the floodlight system at the sports field – and thus created an important milestone for a future-proof infrastructure.
The project focused on the club’s competition pitch, which is now perfectly equipped for training and matches in the evening thanks to the new COB LED floodlight system with an illuminance of 200 lux. The new system was built on the existing infrastructure and expanded: Two additional poles were added to the four existing ones. The light point height of 18 meters enabled uniform and powerful illumination of the entire pitch.
A particular highlight of the new floodlight system is the Switch Dim control system, which allows the light intensity to be regulated flexibly and as required. Whether for training, matches or changing weather and lighting conditions – the LED floodlights can be adjusted quickly and easily. The combination of intelligent control technology and uniform light distribution creates optimum conditions for athletes – at any time of day or year.
In addition, the innovative DLC shading system (Direct Light Control) from SmartArena ensures that glare and unwanted light emissions are reduced to a minimum – and the surrounding area, such as road users on the adjacent road or animals in the neighboring paddock, is protected in the best possible way. At the same time, the dimming function supports energy-efficient use of the system and thus conserves resources.
In addition to the technical quality of the project, one thing in particular stands out: the exceptional cooperation of all those involved. The municipality and the SC Maria Lanzendorf have demonstrated the importance of effective teamwork in the construction of sports facilities through their strong commitment and a great deal of personal effort. Thanks to the professional collaboration between the teams from SmartArena and Montron GmbH, a tailor-made lighting solution was created that meets both the technical requirements and the local conditions in every respect. The sports club’s new floodlight system is a successful example of modern, sustainable and user-oriented sports pitch lighting. It proves that technological progress and an active sense of community can go hand in hand – to the delight of everyone who works on and around the pitch.
