Wolfsthal, Lower Austria – The SC Wolfsthal has modernized its sports field lighting and opted for energy-efficient, high-performance LED technology from SmartArena. The existing 18-metre poles were used for the new floodlight system and a tailor-made solution was installed to meet the club’s requirements. This not only saved resources, but also enabled an economically efficient solution to be implemented.
The competition pitch now shines with a light intensity of 200 lux, ensuring optimum visibility for official matches and tournaments. For the smaller training pitch, 75 lux lighting was installed to provide efficient and energy-saving illumination. Thanks to a color temperature of 3000K, the new lighting provides a pleasant light that creates an ideal atmosphere for both the teams on the pitch and the spectators.
An additional highlight of the new lighting system is the Switch Dim control for the competition pitch. This allows the club to flexibly adjust the light intensity as required. Whether for training or matches or to adapt to different weather and lighting conditions – the LED floodlights can be dimmed quickly and easily with the Switch Dim system. The combination of intelligent lighting control and uniform light distribution ensures ideal playing and training conditions.
In addition to the improved lighting quality, the club also benefits from significantly reduced energy consumption. By switching to COB LED technology, not only is less electricity consumed, but maintenance costs are also significantly reduced. This saves costs in the long term and contributes to the sustainable use of resources.
