Wimpassing an der Leitha, Burgenland – The SV Wimpasing has set an important milestone for the sports club with the installation of a modern LED floodlight system from SmartArena. The requirements for the new lighting solution were clearly defined: The highest quality of light for training and matches while keeping light emissions for the surrounding area as low as possible. For this purpose, the system was equipped with the DLC system (“Direct Light Control”). This ensures optimum control of the light distribution and significantly minimizes precise shading of the light for light-sensitive areas.
When renewing the floodlight system, the sports club decided to modernize both the competition pitch and the training pitch. The new COB LED floodlight system provides optimum visibility with a light point height of 18 meters. Thanks to an exact light calculation and precisely aligned floodlights, the pitch is evenly illuminated. The competition pitch was equipped with 3000K warm white light and an illuminance of 200 lux – which corresponds to lighting class II.
