The sports field Emat, in the Tyrolean district Innsbruck-Land, is home to the “SV Telfs”. Recently, the floodlighting system was upgraded to SmartArena LED floodlighting of the newest generation, Tera GEN3r.
The competition field has masts with heights of 16 to 18 m. The converted lighting now offers a superior illuminance of approx. 300 lux on average, with excellent evenness on the playing field and a low energy consumption of 20.4 kW. Thus, energy savings of approx. 35 % were achieved.
Due to the extremely strict regulations for environmental and nature protection in Tyrol, the facilities were planned and installed with a colour temperature of 3000K. Additionally, the DLC system was included in the installation, not only to fulfil the ÖNORM O1052 regulation regarding light imission, but also for even better protection of the environment against light pollution.
