Straden, Styria – By modernizing its floodlight system, Sv RB Straden is investing in a future-oriented, energy-efficient, and sustainable lighting solution. For the upgrade, the club chose a modern LED floodlight system from SmartArena, which features high-performance COB LED technology and precise light control.
The new lighting system achieves an illuminance of 400 lux, thereby creating optimal conditions for training and matches. At the same time, the SmartArena technology ensures uniform illumination of the playing field and high-quality light.
A particular focus of this project was on reducing stray light and light pollution. For this reason, the facility was equipped with SmartArena’s DLC (Direct-Light-Control) shading system. Thanks to precise light control, the playing surface is illuminated precisely, while unwanted light emissions into the surrounding area are reduced to a minimum. This benefits both local residents and the environment.
At the heart of the new floodlight system is the proven COB LED technology from SmartArena. It enables exceptionally uniform light distribution, reduces glare, and ensures high efficiency. At the same time, clubs benefit from lower energy consumption and, consequently, reduced operating costs.
Another advantage of the new system is the integrated DALI wireless dimming. It allows for flexible adjustment of the illuminance to meet varying requirements during training and matches. This enables the light output to be controlled as needed and saves energy. Sv RB Straden thus benefits from even more efficient use of the system.
