Eckartsau, Lower Austria – Modern lighting technology does not necessarily require a complete reconstruction of the existing infrastructure. The new floodlight system at SCG Eckartsau’s natural-grass training field demonstrates this. To implement SmartArena’s lighting solution, the existing infrastructure was reused and combined with modern COB LED technology. The result is a cost-effective and sustainable solution specifically tailored to the requirements of training operations.

The new LED floodlight system meets the requirements of lighting class III and ensures uniform light distribution across the entire playing field. With a color temperature of 3,000 Kelvin, it creates pleasant lighting conditions and good visibility for players and coaching staff.
The SwitchDim control system provides additional flexibility in daily operation. It allows the lighting to be adjusted as needed based on the specific use of the training field. This supports efficient operation and helps reduce energy consumption and operating costs.

The continued use of existing infrastructure also makes a significant contribution to the project’s cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Combined with energy-efficient and long-lasting COB LED technology, this has resulted in a sustainable lighting solution that makes efficient use of existing resources.
The project was implemented in collaboration with store and more GmbH and electrics and more GmbH. As a result, SCG Eckartsau now has a modern LED floodlighting solution tailored to the requirements of training operations, combining uniform illumination, flexible control, energy efficiency and cost cost-effectiveness.
