Mooskirchen, Styria – USV Hoome Mooskirchen has taken another step toward modernizing its sports infrastructure: Following the successful upgrade of the training field to a high-quality LED floodlight system from SmartArena, the competition field has now been upgraded as well. The goal of the project was to create optimal playing conditions on the field while also meeting the requirements for a facility located in close proximity to residential areas.
With an illuminance of 200 lux, the new COB LED floodlight system provides ideal conditions for games and training at a competitive level. Players benefit from uniform lighting across the entire playing field and perfect visibility. During the planning and implementation of the project, special care was taken to minimize light emissions. Thanks to the DLC (Direct-Light-Control) shading system, the light is directed precisely where it is needed – onto the playing field. At the same time, nearby residents are protected as much as possible from stray light.
Another key component of the system is the integrated Switch Dim control system. This intelligent system allows for flexible adjustment of light output and ensures that the lighting can be optimally configured depending on usage. For training sessions, the light intensity can be reduced, while full lighting output is available for games. This results in long-term energy and cost savings. Combined with durable COB LED technology and reduced maintenance requirements, the system offers high cost-effectiveness over the long term.
The system was installed by Kiendler GmbH, which ensured the project was carried out professionally and with precision. The result is a high-performance, modern, and neighbor-friendly floodlighting solution that makes the USV Hoome Mooskirchen sports field fit for the future.
