Hollabrunn, Lower Austria – The UTC Hollabrunn has upgraded three of its clay courts to the latest state of the art with floodlights from SmartArena. The tennis courts are illuminated from the side by a total of four 14-metre high masts. This considerably optimizes visibility on the court and at the same time significantly minimizes energy consumption.
With the new lighting system, it is now possible to illuminate each individual tennis court separately, allowing the floodlights to be used only where they are needed. This reduces electricity consumption and makes a significant contribution to sustainability. The connected load of the entire lighting system is 8.4 kWh, while that of pitches 1 and 3 is only 2.4 kWh each. The flexible, event-related commissioning of each floodlight system for each tennis court means that the lighting on the court is used in an energy-efficient and ultimately costefficient manner. In addition, the new SmartArena system complies with Class II in accordance with ÖNORM EN 12193 and O1052.
Thanks to the cooperation with store and more, this project was also successfully implemented. The tennis courts of the UTC Hollabrunn now shine in a new light and offer the players the best conditions – both in training and competition situations.
