Reisenberg, Lower Austria – SC Reisenberg has extensively modernized its existing floodlight system and opted for an energy-efficient LED lighting solution from SmartArena. The project was carried out in collaboration with store and more GmbH and Montron GmbH. The club thus joins the growing number of soccer clubs that are adopting modern, energy-efficient lighting technology.
On the competition field, the new floodlight system provides an illuminance of 200 lux, while the training field is illuminated at 75 lux. With a color temperature of 3,000 Kelvin, the system provides a pleasant warm-white light and optimal visibility on the playing fields.
COB LED technology for high efficiency and uniform illumination
At the heart of the new floodlight system is SmartArena’s proven COB LED technology. It enables uniform and targeted illumination of the playing fields while delivering high energy efficiency. Compared to the previous system, the connected load has been significantly reduced: Instead of 32 kW, the new LED solution requires only about 15 kW. This corresponds to a reduction in connected load of more than 50 percent.
As a result, SC Reisenberg benefits not only from a modern lighting solution but also from lower ongoing energy costs. The long service life and low maintenance requirements of LED technology further contribute to the cost-efficient and sustainable operation of the sports facility.
Flexible lighting control with Wireless DALI
Tridonic’s Wireless DALI control system provides additional flexibility and efficiency in daily operations. It allows lighting to be controlled as required and adapted to the respective use of the sports facility – further contributing to reduced energy consumption.
The SmartArena LED floodlights installed are manufactured in Austria and combine high-quality lighting with energy- and cost-efficient technology. This provides SC Reisenberg with a modern lighting solution that meets both current requirements for sports operations and the long-term goal of resource-efficient operation of the facility.
