Styria, Fürstenfeld – With the modernization of its floodlight system, SC Raika Fürstenfeld is relying on a high-performance, future-oriented lighting solution from SmartArena. In collaboration with STICH® – Stichaller GmbH, the sports complex was equipped with modern COB LED technology. The project includes one competition field and two training fields, each of which was equipped with customized lighting control solutions, thereby offering maximum flexibility in daily operations.
The new LED floodlight system impresses with its uniform illumination of the playing fields, high light quality, and energy-efficient operation. Thanks to the COB LED technology used, players, coaching staff, and spectators all benefit from optimal visibility. SmartArena’s LED lights also convince with their significantly lower energy consumption and reduced maintenance requirements compared to conventional lighting systems.
Customized lighting control for competition operations
The floodlight system at the competition venue is operated via a DMX-based wireless solution, ensuring maximum operational flexibility. Thanks to the components from Visual Productions (a B-Station2 and an IoCore) and LumenRadio’s wireless Galileo technology, the entire floodlight system can be controlled from two different control stations. Additionally, it is possible to integrate an external lighting console, thereby professionally implementing a wide variety of lighting requirements. The result is a high-performance control solution that meets both current requirements and future expansion needs.
Efficient lighting control of the training fields
The two training fields were also equipped with modern wireless solutions. Thanks to Tridonic’s wireless DALI control system, both fields can be switched on and off independently of one another and dimmed individually. This allows the lighting to be adjusted at any time to meet the needs of training sessions, occupancy levels, or various usage scenarios.
This separate control capability not only ensures maximum flexibility but also helps to sustainably reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
Modern floodlighting solution for long-term sports operations
With its new LED floodlight system, the SC Raika Fürstenfeld sports field now features a modern lighting solution that combines high light quality, intelligent control, and cost-effective operation. The combination of COB LED technology, professional wireless controls, and customized control concepts creates optimal conditions for training and competition, as well as for future requirements for modern sports facility lighting.
