Burgenland, Deutschkreutz – By modernizing their floodlight systems, FC Blaufränkisch Deutschkreutz and UTC Deutschkreutz invested in a high-performance, energy-efficient, and future-oriented lighting solution from SmartArena. In collaboration with b-solution GmbH, the entire sports complex was equipped with modern COB LED technology, thereby sustainably improving both the quality of light on the playing fields and the facility’s environmental sustainability.
With an illuminance of 200 lux on the soccer club’s competition field and 100 lux on its practice field, the new LED floodlight system provides optimal conditions for training sessions and league games.
As part of the modernization, the three tennis courts were also equipped with a new LED floodlight system. With an illuminance of 300 lux, the system provides optimal conditions for modern, performance-oriented tennis.
The system uses COB LED technology from SmartArena, which was developed and manufactured in Austria. It ensures uniform illumination of the playing fields, high light quality, and completely flicker-free light. At the same time, the technology stands out for its high energy efficiency, long service life, and low maintenance requirements.
A particular focus of this project was on reducing light pollution. Thanks to precise light control, the light is directed specifically toward the sports fields, thereby minimizing stray light and light emissions into the surrounding area. This benefits the immediate neighbors in particular.
Additional flexibility is provided by Tridonic’s integrated wireless DALI control system. It enables intelligent, demand-based adjustment of illuminance to meet varying usage requirements, thereby contributing to significant energy and cost savings.
Thanks to the modernization, the sports complex in Deutschkreutz now has a sustainable floodlighting solution that provides optimal lighting conditions for soccer and tennis, while also reducing operating costs and taking the needs of nearby residents into account.
