Obersiebenbrunn, Lower Austria – SC Obersiebenbrunn has invested in modern infrastructure for its sports facility and converted the sports field lighting to an energy-efficient LED floodlight system from SmartArena. The aim of the project was to create optimal visibility conditions while sustainably reducing energy consumption.
The new floodlight system from SmartArena meets the requirements of lighting class III. This means that SC Obersiebenbrunn now has a powerful, standard-compliant lighting solution for training. Thanks to state-of-the-art COB LED technology, the system ensures homogeneous and uniform illumination of the playing field and ideal lighting and visibility conditions on the pitch. The athletes and the coaching team benefit equally from the consistently high light quality.
A key advantage of the new floodlight system is its targeted light control. The precise optics significantly reduce light pollution and ensure that the light reaches where it is needed – on the playing field. This also protects local residents from stray light.
In addition, Switch Dim control was installed – an intelligent lighting control system that allows the lighting intensity to be adjusted as needed. This allows the club to flexibly adjust the brightness to daylight or training scenarios.
The result speaks for itself: with the new LED floodlight system from SmartArena, SC Obersiebenbrunn is saving around 50 percent of its electricity consumption compared to the previous lighting system. In addition to the significant cost reduction, the club is also making an active contribution to climate protection.
The project was implemented in collaboration with store and more GmbH and, above all, thanks to the club’s own hard work and tremendous commitment. The result is a modern and sustainable lighting solution that perfectly combines technical expertise, economic efficiency, and club cohesion.
