Sittendorf near Vienna, Lower Austria – The SV Wienerwald has modernized the lighting of its training pitch and opted for SmartArena TERA Gen3r floodlights. The club is thus not only setting a milestone in terms of future-proof infrastructure, but also in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability.
Thanks to the proven collaboration between the teams from store and more, Montron and SmartArena, this tailor-made LED floodlight system could be realized. This innovative lighting not only ensures optimum lighting conditions on the training pitch, but also saves 50% of the electricity consumption compared to the old system!
The SV Wienerwald training pitch has been equipped with a high-performance COB LED floodlight system that is specially tailored to the club’s requirements. With an illuminance of 75 lux and a light color of 3000K, the system offers glare-free, pleasant visibility for players and coaches – regardless of the weather and time of day.
When installing the floodlight system for the club, which was founded in 1969, special attention was paid not only to the sports field, but also to the surrounding area. As the sports facility is located in the middle of a nature reserve, care was taken to minimize stray light immissions in order to protect nature and the surrounding residents. At the same time, the precise and high-quality lighting technology creates optimum conditions for playing.
Thanks to the energy-efficient LED technology, power consumption has also been reduced by 50% compared to the old system – without compromising on the quality of light. This durable and sustainable solution reduces the sports club’s operating and maintenance costs in the long term and actively contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions. The SV Wienerwald project shows once again that modern floodlighting systems offer both ecological and economic benefits.
