Obdach, Styria – The FC Pabst ALKO RB Obdach has invested in a state-of-the-art floodlight system from SmartArena as part of the construction of the new Zirbenlandstadion. Both the soccer pitch and the competition field were equipped with innovative LED lights that are impressive in terms of performance, durability and energy efficiency. The soccer pitch was completely rebuilt and is now equipped with 18-meter-high poles – from there the pitch is evenly illuminated. With a 200 lux system including a switch-dimmer system that enables individual adjustment of the light setting on the pitches, SmartArena ensures maximum flexibility and optimum visibility – whether for training sessions or matches.
Thanks to the DLC shading system, stray light and light immissions are reduced to a minimum – so the surrounding area is not disturbed by the light and at the same time a comfortable, glare-free light is created on the pitch. In addition, the low connection load of the lighting system means that energy consumption is kept as low as possible – which, in addition to cost efficiency, also contributes to sustainability. The pioneering technology from SmartArena – which is produced in Teufenbach in Styria – makes the Zirbenlandstadion one of the best-equipped soccer pitches in the region.
The floodlight system of the FC Pabst ALKO RB Obdach was put into operation at the beginning of August. This successful project was implemented in close cooperation with the Elektro Peschel GmbH. From the planning to the final installation of the system – every step was precisely tailored to the club’s requirements. The successful commissioning by the Styrian Football Association (“Steirischer Fußballverband”) confirms the high quality and reliability of the system.
The Zirbenlandstadion, which seats up to 1,700 spectators, is not only a place for exciting soccer matches, but also an important meeting place for personal interaction with like-minded people. With the new lighting from SmartArena, this place will shine even brighter in the future and attract even more people. Reinhard Pabst, chairman of the FC Obdach, is delighted: “The project went really well and our expectations were more than fulfilled.”
