Vorderweißenbach, Upper Austria – The Sportunion Vorderweißenbach has opted for the TERA Gen3r series from SmartArena for the realization of an innovative and sustainable floodlight system. The new lighting solution is based on advanced COB LED technology and meets the highest standards in terms of quality, efficiency and sustainability. The new floodlight system was produced in Teufenbach in Styria and installed at the Upper Austrian sports venue in collaboration with the Illumina – Licht & Service GmbH.
With a total output of 8.4 kW, the training area offers a brightness of 140 lux, whereas the competition area impresses with a brightness of 200 lux at an output of 13.4 kW. The light point height is 14 meters on the training pitch and 18 meters on the competition pitch. With the new floodlight system, both sports fields are thus optimally and evenly illuminated. The 3000 K warm white light provides a pleasant, glare-free light – ideal for players and spectators.
Sustainability was a particular focus of this project. The floodlight system was designed in such a way that it not only reduces energy consumption, but can also be operated cost-effectively in the long term. Special attention was also paid to protecting the surroundings as much as possible from disturbing stray light. Reducing light pollution to a minimum is always an important concern for SmartArena – regardless of whether sports facilities are located in urban or natural areas.
SmartArena supports clubs and local authorities in developing customized lighting solutions that meet both sporting requirements and ecological and economic objectives. The team is also happy to assist with the submission of applications for funding measures. Feel free to contact us about your planned projects!
