Velm, Lower Austria – The FSV Velm has taken a significant step towards the future with the installation of a brand new floodlight system from SmartArena. The sports pitches now shine in a bright, even light that ensures optimal playing and training conditions. The new floodlight system was officially put into operation on Saturday, October 12, 2024, immediately before the soccer match against Sommerein.
This measure was necessary because there is a great need for training facilities due to the large number of junior teams. Especially on days with fewer hours of sunshine – in spring and fall – there were time bottlenecks for the training sessions of the individual teams in the past. For this reason, the club has now invested in a modern and sustainable floodlight for the soccer, training and tennis pitches. The new new floodlight system is specially tailored to the needs of the club.
Thanks to the modern COB LED technology of the floodlights, the club benefits from sustainable and long-lasting lighting, low power consumption and therefore a cost-efficient and future-proof solution. This project was implemented in close cooperation with the companies store and more GmbH, Gartenprofi Rettensteiner, Montron GmbH and Affengruber.
The new floodlight system from SmartArena creates a unique atmosphere on the pitch – whether for evening training sessions or matches after sunset, the glare-free lighting ensures ideal conditions for players and spectators alike. This heralds a new era at the FSV Velm sports ground: the club’s competitive and youth teams now have the ideal conditions to perform at their best.
