]]> Vienna – With its blend of Baroque facades and modern interiors, the Museumsquartier (MQ) in Vienna is a hub for art and culture. At its heart lies “Halle E+G” – once a winter riding hall of the former imperial stables, now a versatile venue for concerts, theater, and conferences.

 
Hall E offers approximately 850 m² of open space and plays a central role in the “Wiener Festwochen” (Vienna Festival) and numerous other events.

To create the impressive backdrop for Halle E, the MQ relied on lighting technology from Preworks and SmartArena – a lighting project that combines technical innovation with architectural sensitivity.

Work lighting by SmartArena

The Tera GEN3 Solo luminaires from SmartArena are used for work lighting – some of them equipped with the DLC (Direct Light Control) shading system to ensure maximum safety on stage. This ensures precise light control and minimizes glare.

 
These LED lights are impressive in every way:

  • They provide light that is easy on the eyes and completely flicker-free – which helps maintain focus for longer periods.
  • Workplace safety is enhanced thanks to the even, glare-free lighting.
  • Thanks to modern COB LED technology, power consumption is minimized and costs are reduced.

In addition, the Tera GEN3 Solo is developed and manufactured in Teufenbach, Styria – because SmartArena stands for high-quality lighting technology with a short supply chain, regional value creation, and maximum efficiency in professional applications.

Stage lighting & lighting control from the Preworks portfolio

For the stage, lighting control, and scenic effects, Preworks supplied the appropriate equipment from ETC: The ETC Gio lighting control desk and the ETC ArcSystem Pro Multi-Cell spotlights complete the overall lighting concept for Halle E.

 
The result is a perfect synergy between a modern work lighting solution from SmartArena – ensuring safe and efficient work processes – and powerful stage and auditorium lighting, along with flexible lighting control from ETC. Halle E is now equipped for the future and shines with perfect lighting for every situation.

]]> The Vienna University of Economics is a cosmopolitan faculty with an international focus. It is a place of global exchange and an environment where teachers and students work together. In these difficult times of war, all this is at risk. Therefore, the university is supporting affected students, staff and researchers in various ways. As a public sign of solidarity, the Library & Learning Center on the campus was illuminated in the national colours of Ukraine. The lighting was installed by Vienna Sound Vienna Light, Gerhard Gutscher GmbH. SmartArena luminaires with 10-degree lenses were employed; they were mounted in two groups on the roofs of the buildings opposite.
