Upper Austria, Linz – SV Pasching 16 decided to modernize the lighting at its sports field and chose a high-performance LED floodlight system from SmartArena. The goal of the project was to create optimal lighting conditions for training and matches while significantly improving energy efficiency and sustainability.
With an illuminance of 200 lux and innovative DALI wireless dimming technology, a system was installed that delivers high-quality lighting and allows for flexible adjustment of light intensity. Depending on the usage scenario, the lighting can be controlled as required thanks to the integrated dimming system. This not only ensures ideal visibility on the playing field but also contributes significantly to reducing energy consumption and operating costs.
The sports club has also opted for the DLC (Direct-Light-Control) shading system. This technology enables precise light control and reduces stray light to a minimum. As a result, the floodlight system meets the highest standards for environmental sustainability and protection of nearby residents.
Technologically, SmartArena’s floodlights are based on modern COB LED technology, which ensures particularly uniform illumination of the playing field. At the same time, the installed LED floodlights impress with their high energy efficiency, long service life, and the resulting low maintenance requirements. For clubs, this represents a economically sustainable investment with long-term added value.
The project was implemented in close collaboration with STICH® – Stichaller GmbH, an experienced partner that ensured a smooth installation.
